Note*  I have attached a photo of Jane Abbott my great grandmother, who cared for the Bandy children. I have Jane born in 1864 Redbourn, Herts. I'm afraid I haven't found a date when she died though. She married George Abbott ( 1863 - 1933, a well sinker ) in Harpenden, Herts on 28/11/1885, and they had the following children.
Florence Abbott ( my grandmother ) 1886 - 1968.

(Witness) Census 18712 Apr 1871  On 2 Apr 1871 Jane Attwood appeared as age 4 in the household of Joseph Attwood and Martha Jackson in this census at Church end sched 75, at Redbourn; Joseph 42 labourer and Martha 38, plaiter have seven children at home.2 
(Witness) Census 18813 Apr 1881 On 3 Apr 1881 the Census showed Jane Attwood as Aunt Jane Attwood in the household of Albert Edward Bandy and Kate Frances Bandy at sched 162 Church End, at Redbourn; Albert 6 and Kate 4 are living with their widowed Grandmother Martha Attwood and their Aunt Jane Attwood (15) following the death of their mother.3 
(Witness) Census 18915 Apr 1891 Jane Attwood was listedin the household of Albert Edward Bandy and Kate Frances Bandy in the 1891 census at sched 226 Church End, at Redbourn; "Edward" 16 & Kate 14, both employed as "Silksters" are living with their Aunt Jane Attwood, now Mrs Abbott.4
