(Witness) Census1861 Mary Ann Paine appeared on the census of 1861 in the household of Richard Bandy and Elizabeth Loney at McNab, ON, CAN; Richard is a 32 yr old Farmer born in England and his unnamed wife is 23 born in Ireland. A 72 year old Widow named Mary Ann BANDY (M A in this Census but Mary Ann later) is with them we presume it is Richard's mother. It is this lady who underwites the link to Padbury plus the fact that the eldest son is named John and the eldest daughter Mary Ann.7 
(Witness) Census 18712 Apr 1871  On 2 Apr 1871 Mary Ann Paine appeared as widow age 81 born England in the household of Robert Bandy and Catherine Barr in this census at McNab, at Renfrew South 81; age 39 FARMER Church of England, Anglican, Catherine is 40 and (probably) scottish [from household description].8 
(Witness) Census 18916 Apr 1891 Mary Ann Paine was listed as Mary Ann, now 101 yrs old is still living with Richard whom, we presume, is her son. in the household of Richard Bandy and Elizabeth Loney in the 1891 census at Mayo, at Hastings North; Richard is 62, Methodist, Farmer born England. Elizabeth is 55, Methodist born Ireland of Irish Parents. Mother Mary Ann age 100 is with them and Son Thomas and family are close by.9,10 
Death*28 Jun 1891 Mary Ann Paine died at Mayo, Hastings, ON on 28 Jun 1891 (age 101 years 4 months, of "old age" informant: Richard BANDY).11,12
