In a legal case in Aug 1903 at Bedford, BDF, ENG, Correspondant in divorce case with Mrs Alice Clara Davis. This was a complex case in which Mr Davis was found neglectful of his wife and the divorce not granted. However it seems likely that he was living with her later. However in May 1902 it was reported that a decree Nisi was awarded in the High Court thus these reports conflict.^5,6

Alice has entered "married 12 years" on the census form then crossed it out and put what could be "divorced" above.¹
